Powered surfboards are somewhat of a divisive subject among people that spend all of their free time among the waves.
On one hand, they’re a departure from the origins of surfing, and the reliance on nothing but natural sources to cruise through the water. On the flip side, however, Jet Boards let you ride when there are no waves. In fact, just like the people in this video, with a jet board, all you need is a stretch of water.
We have to admit, we’re still not completely sold on Jet Boards. Despite the crushingly bad Euro dance in this video, they certainly look rad, and they eliminate the need for the sea to be firing, but is it surfing? The Mpora jury remains out.
