We don’t care what your statistics and scientific evidence says, sharks are scary. Really scary. And why would they kill so many humans on the big screen if they didn’t live to hunt us down?
Sure, not all of them may like the taste of human meat, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t out to get us. As Alfred the butler once pointed out to Bruce Wayne, some people just want to see the world burn – and most of those people are sharks.
So, what’s the deal? Why are we telling you all this? Are we trying to seduce you into coming round to Mpora HQ for a romantic meal and a Jaws marathon? Sadly not. Although that would be nice.
Rather, we’re just providing a bit of a build up before we show you some terrifying footage of what it’s like to be stalked by a Great White shark.
The video comes from 68-year-old diver and cameraman Charles Maxwell, who lives in Cape Town in South Africa and has bigger balls than the Statue of Liberty and the Angel of the North would need to play a game of ping-pong.
Without further ado, here’s the scariest footage you’ve ever seen of a Great White in its element. Watch out for the moment when the beast bites the camera. It’s absolutely mesmerising!
