There’s no two ways about it, if you’re a regular in the world of downhill mountain biking, you’re going to have a nasty tumble at some point.
Even the best in the world are prone to this unfortunate fact of life – probably even moreso given the lengths to which they push themselves on some of the most challenging terrain the world has to offer.
Take the downhill World Cup for example. It all kicked off again in Lourdes last weekend, and not only did Gee Atherton compete in finals with a broken wrist and Greg Minnaar with a torn ligament, there were also some of the gnarliest crashes we’ve seen on two wheels.
