This SUPer took his fishing rod out with him while having a paddle off the coast of Florida last week. When he put his tackle in his box that morning, he can’t possibly have imagined events turning out as they did.

Capt. Ben Chancey ended up landing this incredible seven foot Grouper. Weighing it at an estimated 186 KG’s – almost three times the weight of the average male – the monster fish towed him along a good distance and even capsized his board in a bid to get away.

When he’d finally wrestled with the mighty beast, Chancey finally pulled it from the water onto his board with the help of a passing fishing boat, where it was measured at a staggering seven feet. We’re pleased to say that the chaps then released the fish back into the water.
