Stunning 400-Mile Kayak Trip Through Thailand Captured in Four Minute Timelapse

If this beautiful footage doesn't inspire you to travel... We don't know what will

Have you been backpacking through Thailand before? If so, you’ll remember how beautiful the coastlines and the islands are. If not, you’ve probably seen photographs and videos that have given you at least a little bit of an idea.

Either way, this stunning timelapse is well worth a watch. It takes you on a one month-long, 400-mile sea kayaking trip down the west coast of Thailand in under four minutes.

Now, we must warn you, the soundtrack on this edit is pretty weird. It’s a violin that sounds more suited to a black and white film noir scene where your favourite character dies in slow-motion than to an epic adventure montage, but nevertheless, there are some stunning images in there.

Sit back, appreciate the wildlife, the perfect turquoise water, the secluded islands, the sun, skylines and the adventure… Oh, but maybe put on your own soundtrack first:

Paddling the Thai Andaman CoastOn our last kayak trip along the entire 600km west coast of #Thailand, I shot a lot of GoPro time-lapse, but didn’t actually look at till last month. (18 months after the fact.) Found I had enough images for this little presentation. This really shows what it’s like to paddle and camp for a month along that beautiful coastline. We have done the trip twice from top to bottom. (#Ranong to #Satun)There is one scene of gratuitous violence. No, not the rotting fish. It’s me being pummelled by waves as I demonstrate how not to get off a beach with large swell.I paddled with my hometown friend Tim Morch.
