In terms of iconic landmarks in Europe, it doesn’t get much more iconic than the Eiffel Tower. Sure, the Eiffel Tower is no Blackpool Tower but it’s still a mighty impressive structure (whichever way you look at it). It’s the symbol of Paris, the city of loooooove, and it towers over the French capital like a Meccano project that’s got really out of hand.
Not content with just buying an Eiffel Tower postcard, or taking a picture of it on his iPhone like a normal person, free runner James Kingston decided to climb up it. Perhaps mistaking it for a children’s climbing frame after drinking too many glasses of Sauvignon blanc, or overdoing it at some laa-de-dah cheese buffet. Who knows what drove him to do this? Our guess is that Kingston, who once climbed the Wembley arch, just likes doing crazy stuff.
