The 5 Highest Scoring Runs From The Craziest Competition in Mountain Biking

Here's how Kurt Sorge made Red Bull Rampage history...

Red Bull Rampage celebrated its tenth edition last weekend in the mountains of Utah, and the 2015 mountain biking contest certainly wasn’t without its talking points.

Big crashes dominated the headlines, with Nicholi Rogatkin somehow walking away after falling off a cliff and Paul Bas heartbreakingly shattering his T12 vertebrae and undergoing nine-hour surgery after a huge crash. Paul is now stable but will face a long road to recovery. Our thoughts are with him as we’re sure are the rest of the mountain biking community’s.

Many riders only went for one run in the finals of Rampage due to high winds and subsequent fears over safety, including Cam Zink, Andreu Lacondeguy, Graham Agassiz, Thomas Genon and Kyle Strait. But with Kurt Sorge scoring a run of 96.5 and effectively winning the contest in his first run, it was unlikely anyone else would have come out on top regardless.

Here are the top five scoring runs from what was an intense yet sombre edition of Red Bull Rampage:

First Place: Kurt Sorge, 96.5

First Place: Kurt Sorge, POV, 96.5

Second Place: Andreu Lacondeguy, 95.75

Third Place: Graham Agassiz, 94.75

Fourth Place: Brandon Semenuk, 94

Fifth Place: Thomas Genon, 91.25
