This Eccentric British Inventor Just Made A Flying Machine Out Of Drones

Is this 50 drone chopper the future of travel? ...No. No it's not

Since Ian Rush glued feathers to his skin but flew too close to the sun, man has been obsessed with flight. There was the massive breakthrough in the 1903 when the Wright brothers flew that plane, then we collectively managed to get to the moon 60 years later, but since then, we haven’t really done too much.

Until now.

This unnamed eccentric Brit strapped something in the region of 50 small drones to a seat in a kind of 21st century version of tying helium balloons to a garden chair. Then, resplendent in socks and shorts, took to the air.

Granted, it was no more than about a metre off the ground, but this could spell the future of unlikely and uneconomical travel.
