There are some mountain bike edits that you can show to the average human being – by which we mean an unenlightened soul yet to discover the wonders of two-wheels and a strip of dirt – and immediately make them pine for the saddle.

These come along relatively rarely, but when they do, they often make oblivious humans sit up and start shaking, raise their hands to the air and shout ‘praise the lord, for I have seen the light!’.

The human in question then immediately, and without any logical explanation, starts using words like ‘pinned’, ‘dialled’ and ‘tranny’ in completely different contexts, despite the fact that they’ve never actually heard the terms used that way before.

Next? They unconsciously start reaching for their credit card and typing the words ‘everything I need to start getting rad’ into Google.
