Hawkeye Huey's photos definitely deserve a closer look...

How many kids do you know who’ve taken photos for National Geographic aged five?

Aaron Huey is a National Geographic photographer who spends his year travelling the world and taking photos of the most amazing cultures on earth.

Last year he took his five year old son Hawkeye on an 18 month road trip from Seattle to Southern California, USA.

On the way, Aaron bought Hawkeye a disposable camera, so he could have a go at shooting his own shots.

The results were pretty remarkable. It turns out having a good eye for a photo runs in the family.

Aaron chose an analog camera because he didn’t want Hawkeye to grow up thinking iPhones were the best way to take photos.

They shared the photos on Instagram – and now have over 140,000 followers, and making it into one of Rolling Stones magazine’s top 100 Instagrammers.

Now they are trying to put together a photo book of Hawkeye’s work called Cowboys Indians Hobos Gamblers Patriots Tourists & Sunsets – with the help of a Kickstarter campaign. Support the Hueys here.

He’s now signed a contract with National Geographic becoming their youngest photographer ever.

With a name like Hawkeye Huey, there’s nothing in the world this kid cannot do.
