Some say volcanoes are super dangerous. Others make them a chill-out point for drinking beer and roasting marshmallows.
This is the story of the latter (mostly since the video is awesome, but also because the former isn’t nearly quite as interesting a story).
Meet Simon Turner, from Christchurch, New Zealand. He made the 400 metre descent to a lava lake inside Marcum Crater in Ambrym, Vanuatu, and celebrated his arrival with some roasted goods and a presumably warm Corona.
If this isn’t the best way to do a volcano trip, then we don’t know what is.
