Siliguri to Darjeeling
Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mark Twain described his day on the Toy Trains of Darjeeling as ‘the most enjoyable I have spent on earth’. You will gain over 2 km in height and lose 20 degrees in temperature during the 80 km journey, as the incredibly quaint steam trains make their way past tea gardens up into the foothills of the Himalaya.
