Have you ever hiked the 2,660 mile Pacific Crest Trail? Us neither. Have you ever seen the Reese Witherspoon movie Wild? The one based on the book by Cheryl Strayed, where our hero walks the Pacific Crest Trail and sorts her head out in the process. Again nor us.
The good news is you don’t have to do either, as you can get a sense of this epicly long and wondrous hiking route, which goes from the US border with Mexico in the south to the US-Canada border in the north, in just three minutes and fifteen seconds thanks to this video. Though in truth once you’ve watched it you’ll probably want to make the hike yourself.
The guys from Halfway Anywhere took one second of footage every day during their hike and glued it together for this edit. It takes us through California, Oregon and Washington state, from dusty deserts, to shimmering lakes, via towering redwoods, high mountain passes, and ridiculous ocean views.
The result is an awesome immersive experience that will teleport you from your dreary cubicle and into their tracks right away.
