You know what it’s like. You’re travelling the world, visiting some of the planet’s most famous cities, and you feel inclined to make a stop at the most popular landmarks along the way.
You know it’ll be extremely busy at these landmarks; that there’ll be tourists with selfie-sticks and men in hats trying to sell you selfie-sticks. You’ve accepted this, and braced yourself for the crowds, the elbows, and the selfie-sticks.
But then you get there, and it’s shit. There’s tourists holding selfie-sticks, men in hats trying to sell you selfie-sticks, and massive crowds of elbow-wielding people all trying to sneak a peek of the thing you’re all there to see. It’s, quite frankly, an absolute nightmare.
Now most people, who go through this, decide to slink off back to their hostel or hotel and stew in their own disappointment before vowing to never again visit a popular tourist attraction.
