If one of those Daft Punk chaps ever procreated with a crowned eagle, there’s a chance that the resulting offspring would end up performing in a skydiving disco formation like the one featured here.
Featuring the jumpers of The Red Bull Skydive Team, ‘GRAVITAS’ is a video that shows a team of synchronised wingsuit specialists wired up with colourful LED lighting.
The routine itself is performed to a song by drum and bass double-act Camo & Krooked (they’re like Ant & Dec, minus the elongated foreheads). And to coin a young-person’s term, it’s an absolutely “bangin” tune and fits the general vibe like a glove.
The darkness that surrounds the falling wingsuits might bring to mind the vacuum of a black hole, but the video was actually shot 13,000 feet above the Austrian Alps. As visual spectacles go, we think you’ll agree that this is definitely right up there.
Now, please excuse us while we put some Camo & Krooked on at full-volume and cut some dirty shapes in the office while wearing LED trousers.
If you don’t hear from us in the next few hours, it’s because the dancing has got out of hand and we’ve had to pay a visit to A & E after stubbing our toe on the photocopier. Anyway, enjoy the video.
