There’s BMX, and then there’s #BMX on Instagram, and depending on who you are or who you’re following, the two are very different things.

The former involves the foundations of the sport; the blood, sweat, tears and the not so attractive side of things. The latter involves sunny streets, sexy dirt builds and perfect parks being ridden by people far more talented than we’ll ever be.

Sometimes those local parks aren’t quite as glamorous as they seem on social media though, and you all know what we’re talking about – even if we may have used the odd stereotype here and there…
