Wordeo Warehouse Project – Total

It’s amazing what you can do with a few UV lights and some white paint. Take a look at this video from the Wordeo Warehouse Project Concept Sessions, bringing together some premier league BMX teams for a contest with a difference. Production values are high, and simple though it may be, the ‘darkened warehouse with nightclub lighting and white lines’ concept works brilliantly. Not only that, but unless I’m very much mistaken, there’s an extremely pimped-up old Toyota MR-2 thrown in there for good measure.

But at the end of the day the aesthetics of a project like this are just window dressing. What really counts are the stunts, and here you’ve got some of the best riders from the BMX scene’s top teams doing battle to see who can outdo the rest. Seventies Distribution, Total, Proper and Source BMX Shop all sent down teams to cause mayhem, and they even put together some impressive displays involving the aforementioned classic Japanese sports car. Another nice touch is the huge blackboard, which reminds me of a menu sign at a greasy spoon cafe. This is a menu of stunts instead of fry-ups though, the idea being that they gradually get crossed out whenever somebody manages to do them. Or something like that (trust us, it works).

We have to be honest and admit we’re not entirely convinced by the dramatic conclusion of the video, but you’ve got to hand it to them for giving it a go. Have a watch and decide for yourself. You’ve still got the best riders from the top teams showing off their gnarliest moves, so basically you can’t lose.
