You’ll be all too familiar with the dark magic that occurs when you combine cola with Mentos (or Polo Mints, if you prefer a more British twist on things). Lots of fizz, even more youtube hits, and a bottle shooting into the air a bit.

But in Russia, they like to up the ante somewhat. Not content with mixing sweets with carbonated drink, they decide to throw butane into the mix.

Swapping mints with the flammable gas that people fill cigarette lighters with propels the make-shift rockets high into the air with such force that they can easily shatter a window.
