DOMS stands for delayed onset muscle soreness. It refers to that post-exercise muscle ache that prevents you lowering yourself to the toilet without holding on to the wall. Usually occurs 24-48 hours after you’ve bossed it in the gym.
DOMS can occur anywhere in the body that has recently been exposed to unfamiliar or intense physical activity.
