Rooted in north of Sweden, a land of mountains and snow, of raging rivers and of expansive moorland, Fjällräven make loads of great products, but these Keb trekking trousers (or pants if you’re American) are among the very best.

The trousers are made from Fjällräven’s polycotton blend G-1000, which can be waxed in the areas you’ll need it most to make them waterproof – for example, around the thighs and the ankles. It’s an elegant and eco-friendly solution. There are sections of stretchy polymide around seat and back of the legs providing brilliant flexibility. The trousers are just as good for climbing as they are for hiking, offering plenty of movement for when you’re reaching up to those high footholds. The knees are articulated for extra mobility and have an opening for protective kneepads, should you want to use them.
Other high-wear points such as around the inside bottom of the legs have an extra layer of G-1000 to toughen them up. There are two leg pockets, one with a zip and the other a mesh pocket, both big enough to hold an OS map.
