There are few things cooler than a gigantic junkyard full of old aircraft decaying in the sun and heat, nothing to see but tonne upon tonne of rusting metal, some beaten up nose cones and an unforgiving sky. Oh, and sand. Lots and lots of sand.
One contender might be freestyle motocross stunt maverick and world motorcycle jump record holder Robbie Maddison. Here we join Robbie, aptly christened ‘Maddo’ by friends and fans, in AIR CRAFT, the very first video from DC TeamWorks. Robbie lives up to his nickname with gusto as he tears around a graveyard for decommissioned military aeroplanes in Tucson, Arizona. To Beatles fans, Tucson, Arizona is the place which a man called Jojo, who thought he was a loner (but knew it wouldn’t last), left for some California grass. To those with sand in their ears, it’s just a city near a desert. Either way, these old aeroplanes make an amazing stunt track for showcasing Robbie’s phenomenal skills, so maybe Jojo should’ve stuck around?
AIR.CRAFT features an array of never before seen stunts, from an incredible jump onto a moving trailer to a death-defying drop from an airborne shipping container, plus some good old fashioned wheelies thrown in for good measure. After Robbie’s done his thing in inimitable style, there’s a chance to check out his latest TeamWorks Collection and signature motocross gear. So while we wouldn’t recommend attempting any of these stunts at home (or anywhere else for that matter), you can at least have a go at replicating Robbie’s awesome look for yourself.
