Ever thought about leaving the helmet at home when you head out on your mountain bike? This shocking video will show you exactly why that would be a terrible idea.
Thanks to Martin Kotz for sending this one in. As you’ll see up above, the rider is shredding round some trails when he takes on a berm and flies face first into a sturdy tree trunk. The GoPro footage goes from tight to terrifying in a couple of seconds.
Thankfully, Martin recovered from the incident and happily admits: “You can see how important it is to wear a helmet and neck brace. Those two things saved my life!”
Listen up kids! And watch out for trees…
