Whatever your sport of choice is, you know deep inside that it’s always going to come with its risks – no matter what it is. And for many, that’s what makes it so enjoyable.
What isn’t enjoyable though, is when you read about a tragedy in your sport and it actually makes you think about the real dangers involved. That’s why for some, the infographic below from Best Health Care exploring the likelihood of death in any given sport could be rather scary.
“The National Centre for Health Statistics reports the average life expectancy in the United States is 77.9 years,” the poster tells us. “There are so many ways to die early. What follows is a list of activities, from the ordinary to the extraordinary, and your chances of dying from them.”
How very unnerving.
