Danny MacAskill is back with his latest release ‘The Ridge’ – a film which sees the Scotsman take us back to his homeland to stomp some ridiculous lines in front of breathtaking backdrops.
We’re not sure if the recent referendum on independence inspired the release from the rider, but whatever brought it on, the seven and a half minutes of mountain biking magic are stunning to watch.
The production oozes Scottish lore while tying in some classic trials work and an array of gnarly lines
Starting off with the iconic image of a row boat paddling in the waters of Skye – plus one trials rider and a beauty of a Santa Cruz rig – the footage sees Danny taking on the notorious Cuillin Ridgeline, a setting renowned for its “unobtainable” nature.
The end result is a production that oozes Scottish lore while tying in some classic trials work and an array of gnarly MTB lines.
Oh, and that frontflip near the end of the film? Absolute madness. It’s more than safe to say that Danny MacAskill never disappoints.
