Some awesome footage has emerged of a young Danny MacAskill riding his trials bike.
The 15-year-old MacAskill was on it already and it’s not hard to believe watching the footage that he would go on to conquer the world and become somewhat of an ambassador for mountain biking as a whole.
The short film is in promotion of Danny launching a signature new disc brake with Magura, but even though it’s in support of the launch it’s a great watch.
The footage is a combination of MacAskill riding back in 2001 and pulling his usual stunts now, intercut with some talk about the famous yellow hydraulic brakes that every pro trial rider used to ride in their heyday – from Martyn Ashton to Martyn Hawes.
Speaking on the film, Danny says: “If I was to tell my 13 year old self that I would one day have a signature MAGURA brake in Raceline Yellow, I think I would have laughed.”
The Magura MT7 Danny MacAskill is a hydraulic disk brake; a 4-pot calliper offering substantial stopping power.
