Cork 720s and Flipping Madness: The World’s Best Slopestyle Stars Just Threw Down Some Serious MTB Porn

This is what happened when the best riders in the world went trick mad in New Zealand...

Spoiler alert! If you want to watch the full replay of the Crankworx Rotorua Slopestyle without knowing the winner, skip to the bottom of this article without reading a single word more.

Seriously, the next paragraph is only going to consist of three words – the forename and surname of the eventual winner, and a sweary exclamation in between. It’s the best way we can possibly recap the event. The guy stole the show!

Brett f*cking Rheeder.

That’s right, all of you who watched it will know the score by now. Brett opened his run with a backflip tailwhip, cork 720 and another backflip tailwhip, and he didn’t let up from there, chucking in plenty of opposite tricks and stomping every one of them en route to a 93.33 first run.

From there, Brandon Semenuk fell disappointingly short, with Nicholi Rogatkin and Thomas Genon taking second and third in the first ever Crankworx New Zealand, and Martin Soderstrom taking a more than respectable fourth place on his return to the big stage.

We’re sure you’ve already indulged in the highlights from the event up top by now, but we’d definitely recommend rewatching the whole thing here as well. It certainly did not disappoint.
