As English people, we are notoriously shit at learning languages. No, being able to ask for “une Tequila” is not being able to speak French or Spanish.

So while you wait for the flakes to fall from the heavens, do something useful and get learning. A solid grasp of the language used in the country you are inhabiting will allow you to more successfully flirt with the local citizens.
