Inventors have come up with a new, wearable drone camera that will fly away from you, turn around, take a picture, and fly back. That’s the theory, anyway.
The Nixie, as the inventors are calling it, came about as part of an Intel competition to discover new wearable technology. It’s essentially a watch that, following a gesture from the wearer, turns into a quad-copter with a camera mounted on it.
We’ve already seen “dronies” take off on the slopes of New Zealand, and if the Nixie goes into production, we can see it being popular in the world of action sports, as people try to capture their airs (or bails) from new angles.
