Here’s What Happened When The Hydraulic Press Channel Crushed Different Types Of Tape

They say duct tape can fix anything, but can it fix duct tape after it's been crushed?

Sometimes life can be stressful. Sometimes life can be really stressful. Sometimes it can make you want to stand on something tall, and scream until your face turns purple and your eyeballs pop like grapes. In a world where everything feels like it’s been designed to be as stressful as possible, we all find ourselves needing some sweet relief from time to time. And thankfully, that’s where the HPC comes in.

The HPC (aka the Hydraulic Press Channel) has been a true friend to us over the last six months, a rock for us to cling to in increasingly turbulent times. Why is that, exactly? Well, it’s probably because, on some primal level, we just really enjoy watching various different things getting crushed by a highly pressurised stomping machine. Call us weird, call us crazy, but don’t ever call us people who don’t know how to appreciate first-class ‘HP’ crushing when we see it.

If you’re not on the HPC bandwagon yet, you’re missing out. Take this video that shows different types of duct tape getting squashed, for example. On paper, you might think “Pah. Big deal. Who really gives a hoot what happens when you crush some duct tape with a press?” But then you watch some duct tape getting crushed by a press, and you realise it’s actually the most satisfying thing you’ve ever seen.

Go on. Watch this video now, and feel your troubles fly off into the ether like a hawk, or an eagle, or some sort of pigeon. Then go back and watch your favourite bits again; your favourite bits presumably being the bits when the rolls of duct tape get crushed. Watch it. Watch it now. You won’t regret it.
