We won’t lie to you. Guitars getting played with red hot nickel balls probably isn’t a sound you’ll being hearing on an Ed Sheeran album anytime soon. It’s pretty much the opposite of radio-friendly music. In fact, we hesitate to even call it music at all. It just sounds weird. Really weird. The type of bizarre audio you’d listen to while walking round a brand new exhibition at the Tate Modern.
