The words of Mpora’s favourite moustachioed newsreader popped into our head while watching this nerve-tingling video of a Norwegian physicist risking life and limb in order to prove the concrete nature of a scientific theory.

The theory, which was tested to its absolute limits by Andreas Wahl, is that objects rotate faster when they approach a central point. Theory, of course, is great. But putting that well-held theory into action by dropping 14 metres to the ground while attached to only a loose rope and weight combo is something else entirely.

Call it confidence. Call it a steadfast belief in physics. Whatever you want to call it, we think Andreas Wahl has got some seriously big stones.
