The latest in GoPro’s ‘Adventures of Life in 4K’ series follows professional ice climbers Klemen Premrl and Aljaz Anderle on a stunning trip to Greenland’s Disko Bay – and no, that isn’t a 90s discotheque, it’s a freezing bay filled with arctic water.
The icebergs are ridiculously fragile, as you can tell from the opening few minutes, so there’s a lot at stake here. It’s clear to see how unpredictable this entire project was, and the dangers involved are very real.
As always with GoPro, it’s filled with high resolution, ridiculously impressive cinematography and packed with farfetched sentences you never thought you’d hear – i.e. “You get the sense that you’re really small and the world is really big. You’re just there in the middle of the ocean on top of an iceberg.”
All in all though, it ends how you expect it to end. With a crazy pair of ice climbers on top of a ridiculously unstable iceberg. Obviously.
