Yeah, yeah we know. It’s summer and we should all be slathering on the suncream. How many times have you been lectured about skin cancer and the like while on the beach or in the mountains?

This video however might make you actually sit up and listen.

Filmmaker Thomas Leveritt got members of the public to stand under ultraviolet light and see what the not-yet-visible damage has been done to their skin from the sun. The results are pretty shocking.

Remember when Baz Luhrmann said: “if I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it”? I might actually think twice about that now.
