Watch: Alaskan Pilots Defy the Laws of Physics by Taking Off on a Runway That’s Just 10m Long

It's little bigger than your living room

This is literally insane – honestly, who needs helicopters or harrier jump jets when you’ve got pilots capable of this? Neither of these pilots uses more than about 10 metres of actual runway here.

The footage was shot by a spectator at the annual Fly-in Airshow which takes place in Valdez, Alaska. Bush pilots from all over the state and the rest of the US come to show off their skills and compete in a STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) contest every May.

We have to say, if we were ever in a tight spot in AK, these are the guys we’d want coming to pick us up.
