There are good cycling jerseys, bad cycling jerseys, and cycling jerseys that look like vaginas – the latter of which are simply too catastrophic to be filed with the rest of the ‘bad’ ones.
Take a look at the new official kit for the national Colombian ladies’ team. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
We can’t confirm this with absolute certainty, but we’re pretty sure that the person who designed these was a man. Either way, they did a shockingly bad job.
What gets us is the fact that at least several other officials must have signed off on these jerseys as well. Although we’re guessing that the sponsors will be happy with all their free publicity.
Anyway, safe to say the Twitter world responded to the release in rather comical fashion.
There were declarations of utter stupidity and shock…
I’m no fashion expert but even I know that the Colombia women’s cycling team kit seen here is a genuine disaster pic.twitter.com/4vdRzH8ohd

Whoever designed these must have climbed up the Stupid and kicked away the ladder: Colombia Women’s cycling jerseys. pic.twitter.com/YZgL5LDms8

Someone who shared in our shock about this kit managed to make it past the backroom staff…
Did no one try on the Colombia Women’s new cycling jersey before this photocall? pic.twitter.com/5hWtt1AzeI

…And even a borderline feminist reading of the kit from one budding viewer. Hmm.
Not sure what to make of the Colombian women’s cycling team’s gear – sexist or feminist? http://t.co/Z25yY4K4ys – hope they’re comfortable

In the end though, we thought Matt J summed it up best. When you’re designing a cycling kit, always avoid beige. Always.
