Pro Cyclist Strips Naked to Reveal BRUTAL Injuries after 60km/h Crash

Watch the crash that left a Tinkoff-Saxo rider battered at the World Champs...

Tinkoff-Saxo rider Michael Valgren has unleashed one of the least attractive nude photographs you’ll see after crashing out hard in the UCI World Championships team time trial on Sunday.

Valgren was the third riding in a five man team, and when he clipped the wheel of the teammate in front of him at 60km/h, he was sent on a brutal tomahawk, bringing down teammate and triple former individual time trial world champ Michael Rogers in the process.

While the Tinkoff-Saxo team weren’t expected to win the World Champs, they will have been hoping to launch a competitive effort. With the time of the team being measured by the fourth rider at the finish line though, and only three riders left standing after the crash, it was all but over for the blue and yellow team.

Rogers and Valgren took to Twitter shortly after the crash to confirm that they had somehow managed to get away with no broken bones, but show that both were still in a pretty bad way.

The Australian Rogers had chosen the time trial as the one day he would leave his gloves on the team bus, meaning of course he was going to end up like this…

…while Valgren decided to post a full, near-enough all-access nude photo showing the severity of his scars. It may just put you off clicking on posts that say ‘nude cyclist here’ forever:

Looks like a sore one for both Michaels, so we wish them all the best. Next time your mate down the pub claims that road cycling is for softies, at least you’ve got some easy evidence at your fingertips.

In other news, regular KOM-overlord and ever-popular Tinkoff-Saxo man Peter Sagan managed to escape the incident injury-free, so he’ll be gearing up to hit the road race on Sunday and hoping for a better outcome.

Lizzie Armitstead is also one of the favourites going into the women’s individuals on Sunday, so if you’re going to be watching, get behind the Brits!
