You don’t get much worse on the roads than a hit and run driver. The least you can do if you’ve been reckless or unfortunate enough to knock someone down is do everything you can to make sure they’re alright.
Well, on 13 June 2016 in central London, taxi driver Birol Koca spotted a motorist who had hit a cyclist and made to get away, and he pursued him and effectively apprehended him single handedly.
Maybe we should all be nicer to taxi drivers in future.
The video below features some very strong language as Birol pursues the driver in question, who is driving a silver Astra.
Police confirmed to Road.cc that they were called by London Ambulance Service to the Meadow Road junction with Fentiman Road on the date in question, “where it was reported that a car had been in [a] collision with a cyclist.”
The capturing taxi driver Koca writes in the YouTube description: “This Hit and Run motorist thought that he could get away after smashing into female cyclist and seriously injuring her.
