When it comes to climbing, women are just as badass as men – but often they don’t get as much coverage in magazines and films.

However, luckily this is starting to change. We came across this inspiring short film called Girlie and Burly, which looks into the female climbing scene in London (anyone spot The Arch Climbing Wall in there?) Watch the full film below.

It’s a great insight the thoughts that go through many women’s minds when they go bouldering – from confidence to being both feminine and strong at the same time.

It was filmed by Xian Goh for the BMC TV’s Women In Adventure Film Competition, which aims to encourage more female filmmakers and inspire more women to get outside.
