If you’ve been a part of any of the sports we cover, you will have been, at some point, concerned about the environment and the world we live in. The worry may have been a few years back when the climate change thing was everywhere, and it may have faded along with the media coverage but there are still many people out there who try to look after our planet with their businesses.

That being said, we thought we would compile a quick list of cool things that have been made from skateboards and what’s just as good, you can buy them too!

3. Nixon Rotolog Watch

They first brought this out sometime in 2008 so the likelihood of you finding this watch for sale are pretty slim. There might be some on eBay if you can find them but you can buy the current model on the Nixon site.

4. Chairs/Stools

There are some pretty cool and pretty ropey chairs out there – loads in fact. This one below is simple and quite easy on the eyes. It’s one of those things you could make yourself though. 5. Skate Tables

Tables like these look quite cool and could easily fit in any house. I do have to say though that it’s probably another thing you could make yourself. If you have enough decks lying around you could easily cut a few slots and then go get some glass (the expensive bit). 6. Lamps

Recycling your decks to create a lamp is pretty nifty if not horribly pointless. I don’t know anyone in the world who would have a floor lamp as small as this. Put it on a shelf and it’s too big for it.

7. Skateboard Bird house

Sometimes birds can’t look after themselves, which is why there are so many bird houses in the world. Maybe we should stop building them from wood we have to chop down and make them from old skateboards… like this guy. http://www.skate-bird.com/
