Dad That Kicked Six-Year-Old Kid Down Skate Ramp Speaks Out!

Apparently he was just trying to help him overcome his fears...

Remember that video that went viral earlier this month of the 6-year-old kid being kicked down a 13ft skate ramp by his dad?

Apparently Marcus Crossland, the dad involved, lost his job and the family are having to move house as a result of the video going viral!

In an interview with America’s NBC News, Marcus said, “It was a bonehead decision, a poor attempt to help my kid overcome his fear.”

His wife Emily White said she doesn’t condone her husband’s behaviour but said, “‘nothing like that has ever happened before, there is nothing behind closed doors. He’s a really great dad, he loves his family, he’s a good person.”

The Florida Department of Children and Families and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office are still investigating the incident. You can watch the full interview in the video above.

It doesn’t half make us think of this amazing BuzzFeed post on the 29 Stages Of A Twitterstorm…

What do you think? Should Marcus be reprimanded for this clip or is it all just a ‘storm in a teacup’?
