So, there’s this video doing the rounds at the minute. It features a youthful chap with a hat, and a skateboard, climbing up the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam and trying unsuccessfully to skate down one of the bridge’s cables. The bridge itself is 456-foot-high. Now, anyone who thought dropping in on this could be considered a good idea would not only have to have balls of spaceship titanium, they’d basically have to have spaceships for balls (because they’d have left the earth’s atmosphere, or something like that).
When the drop-in grind goes wrong, and it does go horribly wrong, the skater falls into the Nieuwe Maas river and the friends watching down below scream extremely loudly. Rather worryingly, for everyone involved, their screams sound pretty authentic. Although, as you’ll see in our brief discussion underneath the video, that doesn’t by any means rid the footage of potential “FAKE” labelling.
