10 Unique and Wonderfully Weird Skiing Events

Although the Inferno Race has a slightly Wicker Man feel to it don’t be too alarmed. The races which will take place from 22-25 January in Murren, Switzerland has been running since 1928, is the largest amateur skiing race in the world and doesn’t involve being set on fire.

The 15.8km course takes you through your paces on varying terrain so strong mental stamina is needed by the bucket load. While a competent skier can finish the 15.8km course in 45 minutes, the fastest can come in at under 15 minutes – so there’s a challenge for you.
