Earlier this year, Leonardo DiCaprio finally bagged himself an Academy Award. To say this made the internet extremely happy is like saying cheddar is quite a popular cheese. It’s an understatement. When Leo won; everyone you’ve ever met, and everyone you will ever meet, piled in on the congratulations-fest and said nice things about Leo. It was great. Such was the collective sense of jubilation at news of Leo’s victory for his part in The Revenant, it felt like all of us had won a tiny little statue made of gold.
