What: An event that is rather more chilled than many on this list, Zermatt Unplugged is an acoustic outing that could be just for you.

The performances take place across nine different venues in Zermatt and the nearby Matterhorn resort. While you might not find yourself dancing on the ceiling or running with the night, you will find a great mix of local artists and world-renowned singers – and the festival is really the only one that provides such a line up.

While no announcements have yet been made for next year’s instalment, previous acts include Suzanne Vega, Chris de Burgh, Billy Idol, One Republic and the man himself – Lionel Richie. 

If you do choose to say ‘Hello’ to Zermatt, you can expect endless love all night long, and you are in for a truly unique experience. In fact, you might not ever want to say goodbye.
