MORE INFO

Atomic’s all-new Hawx Magna series of ski boots offer the highest volume in Atomic’s entire range of boots. They’ve been designed to be as comfortable as possible for those with wider feet or those who just prefer a slightly less restricting fit for all-day comfort. The Magna 110 S is the stiffest boot in the Hawx Magna range, serving up a good level of performance for a range of skiers.

Atomic Hawx Magna 110 S Fit

As we’ve already said, the Hawx Magna 110 comes sporting a 102 mm last width. This fit is both thanks to the powerful shell construction and also Atomic’s Mimic Platinum liner. This liner features a pre-shaped ankle, heel and tongue which, you guessed it, mimics the anatomical shape of your foot when it’s been heat moulded.

A closer fitting liner helps to evenly distribute pressure from your foot, to the boot shell and then onto your skis’ edges, so we can totally get behind liner technology that improves this connection. On top of the mouldable properties, the liner features 3M Thinsulate insulation stitched into it for a further boost in comfort and warmth.

Atomic Hawx Magna 110 S Build

The Hawx range promises to be the lightest alpine boot in Atomic’s eclectic range of ski boots, and this is certainly the case for the Hawx Magna 110 S. Coming in at a weight of 2,120 grams per boot, it’s not the lightest Hawx out there but it’s an impressively low number, especially considering the slightly wider fit and stiff flex.

Making up this build is a traditional Prolite shell that we’ve come to expect from the Hawx range. This shell, in contrast to traditional alpine shells, has been built with a thinner plastic in an effort to save weight.

The shell itself is a typical four buckle overlap design that provides a fantastic amount of power transmission. A thick (30 mm) booster strap at the top of the boot has also been used to further ramp up the power.

Who Is The Atomic Hawx Magna 110 S For?

Those who have previously wanted to get involved with the Hawx range, but have been put off by the 98 mm last will now be able to sample that classic all round foot hold and responsive flex. If you’re keen to get yourself in a pair of stiff boots that still remain comfortable for wide feet, then the Atomic Hawx Magna 110 S are going to be the boots for you.
