Double Olympic champion Simon Amman hospitalised after crashing hard on an 136m jump

Two time Olympic ski jump champion Simon Amman is recovering in hospital after an 136 metre jump went disastrously wrong.

The legendary rider was competing in the Four Hills Tour in Austria, but lost control on his second round jump, brutally bailing and taking a hard hit that left him unconscious.

The video of the incident is not for the faint hearted, but Swiss media reports have stated that Simon has regained consciousness, although the severity of his injuries remain unknown.
