Now, of course, Patagonia needs very little introduction in the hiking and climbing world. Ever since their founding in 1973, the Californian-based company has been making some of the most technical clothing in the outdoor world (all while trying to limit their impact on the environment).
The company has recently been bringing some of their outerwear production know-how to the skiing market. The result of this shift has been some properly impressive ski touring and splitboard jacket / pant setups. Now, for the 22/23 winter season, Patagonia has channeled their design experience towards the resort skiing market. This, the Powder Town Jacket and Pants combo, is the outcome of that move.
Fabrics and Cut
So what is it? The Powder Town Jacket and Pants feature a tough and robust 2-layer fabric to keep you protected while you’re out on the slopes. The pants are further protected from Mother Nature thanks to 60 grams of insulation to keep you warm. The insulation here is called Thermogreen. You’ll be glad to hear it’s made up from 100% recycled polyester.
Taking a closer look at that two-layer H2No fabric, it’s made up from 100% post consumer recycled polyester (pretty bloody impressive, in our opinion). Not only is the fabric fully recycled, but Patagonia has also ensured it’ll last a good few seasons thanks to a 65-denier rating.
