It’s been at least three days since we all simultaneously soiled ourselves (don’t ask), so you can probably imagine how disappointed we were when this horrifying avalanche footage featuring skier James Heim caused a sudden and uncalled-for evacuation of our bowels. The office was an awkward place after that.
James Heim was busy skiing this powdery spine, in aid of MSP’s Fade To Winter project, when the world beneath his feet completely gave way on him. His POV footage shot on the new Sony Action Cam is a startling reminder of how quickly situations can change in the backcountry. We encourage people to have fun, it’s our middle name after all, but it’s also vitally important that more people educate themselves on avalanche safety and tree well survival. Be careful out there, ladies and gents.
