The mountains of Whistler and Blackcomb offer terrain that’s suitable for everyone. Whistler is split 20%/55%/25% for beginners, intermediates, and experts while Blackcomb is split 15%/55%/30%. For those looking to get some air, and a freestyle fix, Whistler mountain has two parks while Blackcomb mountain has three parks, one super pipe, and one snow cross track.

The PEAK 2 PEAK gondola, the world’s highest and longest unsupported lift of its kind, means that the mountains of Whistler and Blackcomb are well connected to each other, and always accessible (no matter which mountain you happen to be on). The gondola, which opened in 2008 and has a ride time of approximately 11 minutes, serves up stunning panoramic views that will take your breath away.

Heli-Skiing

If you’re looking to kick your winter sports holiday up a gear, and inject it with a big shot of adventure, Whistler Heli-Skiing offer a variety of packages that will take you and your companions right into the heart of some spectacular big mountain terrain. With exclusive rights to 432,000 acres, including 173 glaciers and 475 runs, this is back country skiing on a whole new level of epic.

Depending on your skill level, and how much skiing you want to do, Whistler Heli-Skiing gives you the option of three different packages (Classic Experience, Elite Adventure, and Ultimate Excursion). ‘Classic’ is for strong intermediates, who don’t necessarily have experience of skiing powder. ‘Elite’ is for more advanced skiers, who know their way through powder and are looking to get vertical. ‘Ultimate’ is for advanced and physically fit skiers/snowboarders only. It is the most extreme of the three options.

Fresh Tracks Mountain Top Breakfast

Rated one of the best  après ski bars in all of North America, by SKI magazine, The Garibaldi Lift Company (GLC) is a must-visit. The bar is brimming with good time vibes, tasty food, and delicious beer selections. It’s also ideally situated for those that like watching people ski their final runs of the day. It opens from 11am to late, with children welcome up until 8pm. For those staying late, expect awesome live music and a seriously fun party atmosphere.

Dusty’s Bar & BBQ

Located at the base of the 2010 Olympic downhill runs, Dusty’s Bar and BBQ is a venue that you definitely need to check out.
