Nicolas Vuignier is a professional freeskier from Switzerland. Nicolas, it’s fair to say, has got some seriously gnarly plank-riding skills. He’s also, and we’re merely speculating about the future here, about to be held responsible for a spate of missing phones in 2016.
Why exactly? Why is Nicolas Vuignier about to get blamed for people losing their phones? What’s he done to deserve such a thing? Because Nicolas, yes Nicolas Vuignier the professional freeskier from Switzerland, has just released this “iPhone video experiment” edit titled Centriphone. At the time of writing, it’s been viewed a whopping two million times on YouTube.
Centriphone features Nicolas skiing like an absolute boss while swinging an iPhone, that’s attached to some string, around his head multiple times. The footage, which has been slowed down for added awesomeness, is genuinely stunning and vaguely hypnotic. It’s that good a viewing experience in fact, and been viewed by so many people, that we’ll honestly be a bit amazed if it doesn’t inspire loads of you to attempt a recreation on the slopes and accidentally lose your phone/kill a low-flying Alpine pigeon in the process.
See the truly brilliant video, in all its glory, down below. And remember, it’s not Nicolas Vuignier’s fault if you “temporarily misplace” your smartphone in knee-deep snow. It’ll be your fault. It’ll definitely be your fault. Leave Nicolas out of it.
